Trained in the United Kingdom, author, doctor, speaker and reviewer of international medical journals, Dr Kenneth Wu is the first Sabahan British-CCT accredited nephrologist in kidney medicine. He left Sabah more than 18 years ago as a student and obtained his undergraduate education from Ninewells Teaching Hospital prior to undergoing postgraduate research training at University of Leeds and University of Oxford. His tremendous passion in what he does has won him several awards including the British Yorkshire Strategic Health Research Scholarship and the British Royal College of Physicians Clinical Lesson Award. Dr Wu was also the only kidney specialist in the country who received two grant awards in the previous year simultaneously from The European Dialysis Transplant Association and The Asian Pacific Society of Nephrology for his research and presentations. He is due to present in another international conference in London this year. He practises at both KPJ Damai Specialist Hospital and KPJ Sabah Specialist Hospital as a consultant Nephrologist and an acute specialist physician in internal medicine.

His sub-specialty interests include dialysis, transplant, preventive medicine and renal palliative medicine. He is also actively involved in the management of critically ill ICU patients and acute medical emergencies.
