Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Murtazam was a Senior Consultant Cardiologist at Institut Jantung Negara (IJN)from 1989 to 1995. He is well experience in clinical cardiology, non-invasive cardiology, cardiac catheterization and cardiac angiography, permanent cardiac pacemaker implantations, coronary angioplasty, balloon mitral valvuloplasty (Inoue technique) and radiofrequency ablation. He was the pioneer of invasive electrophysiology in Malaysia, specializing in heart rhythm disturbances.
