Obtained first degree – MB Bch BAO (Hons) from National University of Ireland in Galway in 1997.Subequently obtained MRCP (UK) in 2002. Did subspeciality training in Gastroenterology in Hospital Selayang. Was Head of Gastroenterology and Co-Director of Endoscopy Unit in Hospital SultanahAminah from 2007 to Dec 2010.Joined JSH in Jan 2011.
Went for sabbatical to Mayo Clinic, Rochester, USA in 2009 for therapeutic endoscopy (mainly ERCP and Endoscopic Ultrasound(EUS) He has performed more than 4000 EUS and ERCP procedures and is currently the only trained gastroenterologist to perform EUS procedures in the southern region
