Dr Tan Wei Jing is a local Muarian. After completed his primary and secondary education in Muar, he went further to pursue a Medical Degree in UM (University of Malaya) and graduated in 2001 with a MBBS (Medical Bachelor and Bachelor of Surgery) degree. With a keen interest in Orthopaedic Surgery, he underwent a 4 years Master Programme training in UM and qualified as an Orthopaedic Surgeon (Master in Orthopaedic Surgery) in 2009. Dr Tan has more than 14 years experience in medical field and has been treating orthopaedic conditions and performing orthopaedic surgery for more than 10 years. He was also a Clinical Lecturer for Manipal Medical College during his 4 years service in Hospital Pakar Sultanah Fatimah, Muar. Dr Tan’s area of expertise includes trauma surgery, general orthopaedic surgery and joint arthroplasty. He is currently the Resident Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon in KPJ Maharani Specialist Hospital.

He had published several clinical papers in journals, including “Size of Interlocking Nails Used In The Treatment of Diaphyseal Femoral Fracture” in Med J Malaysia Vol 61Supplement B December 2006 and “Prevalence of Non-traumatic Foot Pain among Urban Young Working Women and Its Contributing Factors” in Singapore Med J 2013; 54(11) (also winner of the SubirSengupta Best Published Paper Award 2014).
